Missions

We have a vision for what God can accomplish through us in missions - locally and around the world. Through missions, we experience Christ’s love in a powerful and unique way. Our foundation for this work is the Great Commission in Matthew 28 where Jesus said to “Go and make disciples of all nations…” and the Great Commandment in Matthew 22:36-37 , “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, your soul, and your mind…and love your neighbor as yourself.”

Crop Walk, October 19th: The CROP Walk is the only event each year that gives all the folks of all the churches of Georgetown the opportunity to come together to demonstrate our support of the Caring Place, Meals on Wheels and our neighbors whom these organizations serve. To help you sign up to walk or to sponsor a walker, FUMC's CROP team will be stationed near the rear exit doors following all the worship services on October 5th, 12th, and the 19th. Look for the folks who are wearing the red STOP sign stickers. For additional information, call Tom Swift, at 818-3999.
